Stuck SL7 Seatpost – Anyone experienced this on a Tarmac/Venge?
Hey guys,
I recently bought a used 2024 Specialized Tarmac SL7 Expert and overall the bike is amazing rode it today and absolutely love it 😄
But I have one issue:
the seatpost is completely stuck. It doesn’t move up or down at all.
What I already did:
- removed the seatpost wedge/clamp completely
- loosened the bolt fully
- tried gentle twisting
- tried a little ethanol/isopropyl around the opening
The wedge comes out normally, but the post itself feels seized inside the frame.
Important:
- I am NOT forcing it because I don’t want to damage the carbon frame
- the bike was likely assembled with carbon paste
Has anyone experienced this on an SL7/Venge?
Any safe tricks before taking it to a bike shop?
