DAE has to deal with people who know you're on the spectrum but who still blame you when you accidentally inconvenience them because of your traits?

I hope this isn't too specific, I was wondering if that kind of situation is common or if I just have bad luck.

People often get mad at me for things like losing track of a conversation because I got too focused on a previous topic, struggling to make choices or needing to stay home to rest. I make efforts to be pleasant but sometimes I mess up.

Once they know I'm autistic and that it's the cause behind these things most of them are understanding, but some treat it like a huge personal flaw instead. It seems they think autism means "likes to be annoying disorder" instead of a genuine struggle.

I've also heard them complain about other autistic people in the same way (e.g. "I can't stand her and her need for routine!", "Ugh why is he so stressed when we change plans, he should make an effort for once!"). Maybe I'm overreacting but it seems as empathetic as blaming a wheelchair user for taking space. I'm so done.
