im confused.
I’m confused. I could have sworn some characters had already met in the first book, but they appear like strangers in Book 2.
Like Klkblkb (close enough) has to be told who exactly Rags is, even though he already played chess with her in the first book. And it’s being explained to him by Relc, who was with him from the very start when they were introduced to the goblins.
Sometimes the characters just feel a bit off — like I missed some progression somewhere, or their behavior shifted somehow. Relc tolerated the goblins in Book 1 and went way out of his way to make sure Erin Solstice wasn’t angry at him, even though they were complete strangers at that point. In Book 2, he has to be held back from killing goblins and doesn’t seem to care at all about how Erin feels about it.
(So far, I’m only around Chapter 2.14 in Book 2.)
It’s kind of ruining the immersion for me, and I feel like I missed something.
