How to bypass Steam region block?
Belgian person here.
My Hero Ultra Rumble isn't available on Steam in Belgium because of laws against lootboxes. Since I do really want to play the game, I did some research and a lot of people claim that this region block can be bypassed with a VPN. I went ahead and created a new Steam account, downloaded a free VPN (Proton VPN), and connected to a Netherlands server (where the game should be available). After changing my billing adress to Netherlands, the game now appears when i search for it on Steam. However, clicking "Play Game" will give me following error:
"An error occurred while launching this game: No licenses"
If i click the other butten, "Add to library", I get the following error:
"There was a problem adding this product to your account. Please try again later"
Should I use a different VPN or is this still a Steam issue? I know that the VPN is doing something because the game wouldn't even appear on Steam before I used a VPN. It would surprise me if no one has ever managed to bypass such a region block, so if you have any past experience with these kinds of problems I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out.
