I Built a High-Pressure Chain Reaction Survival Puzzle Game Called Overload — Looking for Honest Feedback
I’ve been building a mobile browser-based puzzle game called Overload and I’m looking for honest feedback from people who enjoy skill-based puzzle or arcade games.

The core idea is a high-pressure chain reaction survival puzzle where you move and swap colored tiles around a grid while managing space and building overloads. When 3 connected tiles of the same type touch, they enter an overloaded state, and connecting a 4th tile detonates them in a chain reaction. As the game progresses, new tiles continuously spawn onto the board, creating increasing pressure and forcing strategic decisions.
The gameplay ends up feeling somewhere between a survival puzzle, arcade strategy game, and a panic-management simulator. Some people have described the game as a cross between Tetris, Connect 4 and Candy Crush.
I’m currently tuning:
- difficulty progression
- replayability
- Endless Mode
- emotional pacing / recovery moments
- retention systems
The game is playable in browser right now and I’d especially love feedback on:
- whether the gameplay loop feels addictive
- whether recoveries feel satisfying
- whether difficulty feels fair
- whether you felt compelled to instantly replay
Looking for brutally honest feedback from puzzle players and indie game fans.
