This game gets a lot wrong. But sometimes, it's right, too. Today's the anniversary of my dad's passing, and he was a huge baseball fan. We'd watch games together all throughout my childhood, and he was a diehard Cleveland fan. So, I decided to load up MLB TS and play a game of ranked in his honor. Win or lose, to have fun.
Back to the game, every time Jim Thome came up, my dad would always joke and say "Hit a homer, Gomer". Well, Jim, ya did the ol' man proud today. (Excuse the Aaron Bummer appearance, I don't have Cade Smith and LS bullpen options are booty - C.C. gave us 7 quality innings though)
I know those of us here are more in tune with the game and its flaws and metas and all that. I thought I was going to get decimated, dude had a lineup full of dudes batting well north of .400. But honestly, sometimes, it is nice to just load into a game and go for it, pay tribute, chuckle at a bad animation, whatever it is we want to do to have fun with it.
