Question about Clearance

So to make this short- I had surgery for a broken arm in March of 2025. I had a drug test for the Air Force 6 days after my surgery. I told my chief that I was on hydracodones and who knows what else the hospital gave me literally during my pee test. Submitted all paperwork.

Heard nothing for 16 months until today.
I get a call from a security person saying I failed a drug test and they’re following up about it. I submitted to them all my surgical reports and prescription drugs. She said I tested positive for methapenaines. But would not provide me the toxicology report. It confuses me because I’ve never done drugs in my entire life and I tested positive for something the pain killers wouldn’t even pop for.

Why am I hearing about this 16 months later? Is this a big deal at all? The person made it sound like this was a non issue and she said it was marked top priority. I’m also starting my SF86 paperwork next week for my Top secret- is this going to hurt this at all?

I’m just annoyed. I did nothing wrong and I feel like I’m being punished here.

Can I get ur opinion?

I’m 28, male. 210 pounds. 6’2. Just trying to look better for summer and overall. I started doing 15k steps a day which includes a 2-3 mile jog. Heavy weights 3ish times a week. 200g of protein a day while eating about 2200 calories.

Will that make a significant change?

Can I get career advice from yall?

I’ve been at this pipeline company flying 172s for about 12 months out of a 15 month contact. I got a job as a USAF to fly as a reservist which is 100x better pay than what I get now and many other things.

I told my boss about it and gave them a 3 week notice and they said I’d deeply regret it because I’m breaking my contract early and I’d regret it forever. Does anyone think it’s true? The contact has no meat in it.

My thing is who would turn down the Air Force to fly pipeline

Did they change the length of OTS?

My dates are Sept 8-November 20 which is longer than the 8.5 weeks the internet says.

Am I missing something here?
