Introducing Lily, Ori's girlfriend 🤭 ...I mean, companion in the Threads of Light journey!
I have been working on Lily for the past 2-3 months now, and I think it's finally time to let her glow bright. I’ve included some sketches of Ori and Lily together. Take a look!
Lily is my very first spirit OC! I've always thought spirits come in all shapes and sizes, so I didn't follow the Ori template like others would do. Instead, I went for a much more feline looking spirit because I love cats. 🐾
She doesn't just look like a cat, she behaves like one, too. I think this is going to open up so many fun opportunities for different interactions. Expect claws, knocking things over, 3 AM zoomies, and maybe... accidentally burning down a tree. How do you accidentally burn down a tree anyway?
Fun fact: At first, I really wanted to give Lily paws. I had a massive internal debate for a whole day before finally deciding on hooves. It just fits her spirit nature perfectly, and Hooves go stomp stomp!
Ah, this is a very exciting topic... that I'm dodging today! 😉
What I can tell you is that Lily has a very interesting, unique power that only she can use, and she's going to use it throughout the story to uncover the deep secrets of the forest. There's a lot more to her than these sketches let on. She's full of secrets, and she is a mystery to solve all on her own.
Don't worry, I didn't forget about Oi! I made my own Ori redesign for the story. He's a bit fluffier than regular Ori, and probably a lot more cuddly too! :p
You can see a glimpse of Ori and Lily dynamic in the sketches. He is the perfect match to her feline energy.
Let me know what you think in the comments! If you have suggestions, ideas for the story, or anything else, I’d love to hear them.
Back to work on the website! Time to finish building this thing. 💻✨
If you are new to this take a look at the project reveal here and update #1 here to learn more.
Another fun fact: It's been a year since I started working on this project, time flies :D
