Feeling scared

27f and recently had an ultrasound done on my thyroid after an MRI for a separate problem showed I had nodules. I didn’t have much symptoms other than a lump in my throat sensation that another ENT said was from my reflux before I even knew I had nodules. My results were Nonspecific heterogeneity of the thyroid parenchyma with multiple nodules most suggestive of multinodular goiter. Dominant nodules include thyroid isthmus 1.9 cm TI-RADS 4 nodule and thyroid isthmus 2.4 cm TI-RADS 3 nodule. They are solid nodules. Not going to lie, I had some discomfort after that ultrasound and now it feels like my throat is closing up. This was done about two weeks ago, my follow up is this Thursday.

I’m sure he’s going to want to do an FNA but this whole thing scares me. I tested negative for Hashimotos and all of my thyroid labs are otherwise normal. I’m probably going to lose my thyroid since it’s uncomfortable to have right now and that is what scares me, I’ve never had surgery a day in my life. 😕
