Hey everyone,

I’m an Ontario student trying to decide between McMaster University Engineering 1 and McGill University, and I’m hoping to hear from current Mac Eng students.

I’m mainly interested in Mechanical or Computer Engineering, and since I’m from Ontario, I’m trying to understand what life at Mac is actually like beyond admissions pages.

Could someone tell me what the tuition for Eng 1 is?

Student life,

• How is Mac Eng socially?
• Do people actually get involved in clubs/design teams?
• Is the campus lively on weekends

I’d likely only have residence first year, so

• What are you paying for rent after first year?
• How hard is it to find a decent place?
• Which neighbourhoods do most Mac students live in? and Which meal plan (A, B, C or D)
• How far from campus is realistic without hating your commute?

Cost of living

Also, if you were an Ontario student choosing again, would you still pick Mac Eng? Really appreciate any honest input.
