Hello All,

First time SAHM to a 1.5 year old little boy. We have scheduled things to do, we go to the Y to swim, we have a nighttime routine. But what the heck do we do with the in between times????

I feel so bad cause he brings me his toys, really anything lying around. We play for a little bit, but he is so bored (as am I). He is very smart, observant, and curious. I think this is why we run out of things to do.

I need activity ideas.

Im doing research into the application process, which includes reading these posts and I see a lot of experience working with DV victims, substance users, homelessness, etc.
My previous experience is mainly with people with developmental disabilities or genetic disorders. Really anyone that would meet NY states OPWDD requirements.
Whenever I bring this up to enrollment advisors, they go silent over the phone, don’t know what to say almost.

Doesn’t social work encompass all vulnerable populations? Does my previous experience align with the field? I understand it’s not the most “well known” served population, but I thought it could count.
