Does A Full Swirl On This Sabrina’s Gengar Change Its Value By Much?

I have a Japanese vintage Sabrina’s Gengar that is currently showing an approximate value of $395 raw on PriceCharting.

I took a closer look at it after reading about double swirls and realized that it does seem to have at least one full single swirl.

That said, I have considered selling this card and was wondering how much more it could potentially be worth.

Please take a look at the pics and let me know what you think. Is this considered a full swirl? I have attached other pics of its condition which is pretty good. Just has a couple whitening marks on the back at the top.

Help please: Ready to Buy My First Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarers — Sale, Lenses & Final Recommendations?

I recently tried on a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses for the first time and was impressed enough that I’ve decided to buy a pair. This will be my first ever pair of any type of smart glasses. I’m set on the Gen 2 Wayfarers in Matte Black and plan to buy new rather than used or refurbished.

A few questions before I pull the trigger:

I was originally planning to buy the Transition lens version since I’d use them both indoors and outdoors. However, I’ve seen reviews mentioning aftermarket transition lenses on Amazon for around $30. Has anyone gone that route? How does the quality compare to the official lenses, and would you do it again? Also, does changing the lenses in and out wear out the frames quickly?

For lens color, I’m torn between G-15 Green and Amethyst. I normally wear brown/bronze-tinted sunglasses and don’t love very dark lenses. Unfortunately, I don’t like the look of Matte Black frames with brown lenses. For anyone who has tried both G-15 and Amethyst, which do you prefer and why? I’m not too concerned with having or not having polarization as I have regular sunglasses for that. I’ve read that G-15 is made to keep colors as authentic as possible rather than darkening them which seems appropriate since I can’t stand the harsh darkening that some lenses provide. Hence the reason I almost always go brown/bronze.

As far as size goes, both the Standard and Large versions fit my face just fine. Is there any reason to choose one over the other? More or less accessories for Standard than Large, etc? Better nose bridge?

Lastly, I missed the recent sale (up to 15% off Gen 2 models) and am kicking myself for waiting. Does anyone know of any upcoming sales, discounts, or retailers currently selling new Gen 2 Wayfarers below MSRP in the US?

The tech is the primary reason I’m buying these, but I’d still like to get the frame/lens combo right the first time. Also, not trying to totally pinch pennie’s but I’d hate to miss a current or upcoming discount (again) lol. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Can’t Stop My Obsession With 9060’s… Any Advice for Laces?

Hey all,

Within the last couple of weeks I bought my third and fourth pairs of 9060’s. My original two pairs were classic NB style variations of gray.

I decided to pull the trigger on the “Pink Haze” from Goat because I absolutely love the subtle shade of the light pastel pink suede. Shortly thereafter, I came across the “Shipyard Linen” and decided to get those as well since they’re more current and I was therefore able to get them for under retail through a vendor offering a discount at the time.

I’m in love with the pink pair so much that I don’t even want to wear them unless it’s somewhere clean, whereas the Shipyard Linen are nice for daily/gym use. The only caveat is that I’d like to add a bit of a personal touch to an otherwise monochrome colorway. I’m huge on monochrome but they have subtle black accents that I can envision being pulled just a bit more to the forefront with the right pair of laces.

I did some research and found some pretty cool laces on litlaces dot com. I’ve never used them before though, and I’m not quite sure which size to get, or if their laces are as nice of quality as the ones that come with the 9060’s out of the box.

If anyone has any good lace recommendations, please let me know. I plan on keeping the pink pair as-is for now, (still open to suggestions there too) but would like to add a bit of understated flair to the Shipyards. Please see the attached photos and let me know- what length should I get? I wear a size 12 for reference. Also, I’m not totally decided on which laces to get but I’ve attached a photo of the ones I’m currently considering.

Thanks for reading!
