Vintage Amanaman with what looks like a genuine factory error — bubble was glued in the wrong spot on the card. Has anyone seen this variant before?
"Hi everyone — still pretty new here, so thanks for your patience.
This is a vintage Amanaman figure that's been in my family's storage for decades — genuine old shop stock from my dad's toy and collector's shop in the '80s. It's essentially untouched since it went into storage.
What caught my attention is that the bubble (the plastic dome over the figure) appears to have been glued onto the card in the wrong position at the factory. You can clearly see the outline of where it was supposed to be attached — with no glue residue there at all — which suggests this was a manufacturing mistake rather than damage that happened later.
It's not in perfect shape: the card has wear, the bubble has some damage and has lifted (there's old Sellotape where someone tried to re-stick it years ago), and the figure's staff accessory is missing — it looks like it slipped out through a gap in the bubble at some point. The figure itself, though, looks to be in mint condition.
I've put together a short video showing all of this close up. I'd love to know — has anyone come across a misaligned-bubble variant like this before? How unusual is something like this? Really appreciate any thoughts or insight."
