Backrooms was hot ass/Obsession was better by a mile
I firmly believe obsession is definitely top 3 if not top 1 horror movies ever. backrooms had potential but i feel like it was hard to make something from a youtube story into an actual movie and it kinda showed. me personally i didn’t like backrooms, everything before the backrooms was just boring monologue, especially the confusing ass scenes with the woman and the little girl. i’m assuming the mom went to the backrooms and survived and then went back to the real world and hides her child and herself from the backrooms/scientists people who’ve been analyzing it. idc if this is supposed to be a film strongly depicted from the original lore but that shi was ass i really didn’t understand backrooms hype and the monsters in backrooms too i thought it was gonna be the stringy monster from the found footage on youtube but it was a spin off of the characters and how the backrooms “remembered” them, like what? it was good at the part where clark and his co workers r going down the little room and all shit goes loose but after that the movie was hot ass. i’m not even being biased but Obsession was way better in every aspect and it shows u don’t need a crazy budget for a phenomenal film.
