What fish can i get with a small tank

I have a small tank. my fish of 3 years (betta) just died sadly. i don't have enough money to get a 5 gallon tank or a filter, a heater etc.. used to have a big tank when i was little but we got rid of that and so my parents allowed me to have small tanks for betta fishes. i tried to look on tiktok which fishes are okay for a small tanks didn't find much. i really dont want sea snails or shrimps but people dont like to see fishes in small tanks so i dont know what to do. i want a small enough tank for i can fit it on my book shelf or on my vanity. i just want a fish to be happy and can live a good life in a small tank. i'll leave a photo of my fish tank when my betta was alive
