Confused on how to upgrade PC
As the title says, I don't really know how to upgrade my pc, this is my first gaming one.
I mainly play fps/shooter games such as Fortnite, Valorant, Cs2, Ow2,, and The Finals. the games run, but I feel like my pc is just meeting the ''minimum'' of what I want and i'm trying to push for much higher fps and smoother gameplay. [I get like 120-150 FPS on each game]
I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to upgrading parts, so I'm looking for recommendations on what would give me the biggest performance improvement. I am mainly interested in increasing fps, improving overall smoothness AND graphics quality.
My current specs:
CPU : Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU : Intel Arc B580
RAM : 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz (2 of 4 slots used)
MOTHERBOARD : PRIME B550M-A WIFI II
monitor resolution/refresh rate: ASUS VG249Q1A [165 Hz]
BUDGET : [NOT SURE] Im sure ill need to upgrade my CPU + GPU so I can sell them and put in extra to upgrade, like 50-100$ more probably..? Im sure that will most likely not get me anywhere, so as budget as possible please.
What would you upgrade first, and what would give me the best value for competitive fps gaming?
