Sheep Detective Movie made me cry
I’m a 17M year old PIMO, and just for some background I don’t really go out at all, in fact last night was actually my senior prom which I didn’t even bother asking my parents if I can go because on top of the 150$ ticket there’s just no way a JW teen is being allowed to a school event at 11 PM
But I wean’t with my PIMI brother and his PIMI friends to watch a so called “sheep detectives” movie, I’d never heard of it and thought it was gonna be some slop, my brother is a MS and his friends are 2 elders and another MS, they’re all pretty young but they’re still pretty PIMI so they’re not fun at all
Movie starts and it was kind of goofy but then there’s scenes where something bad happens to the sheep and then they all just agree to forget the bad thing happened, and then just like that they all forgot an event
The sheep were also scared to do just about anything (because they are sheep), there was a scene where 2 sheep were really scared to cross an asphalt road since their hooves had never touched anything other than grass, they were like “we can’t do that, sheep can only walk on grass”
But then the 2 sheep closed their eyes and crossed the road together
This reminds me of how when I was waking up I was scared to do “worldly” things like date girls, smoke, and all of that, but when I got another PIMO friend to do it with me we were all of a sudden unstoppable and felt we could break every rule.
There was so many scenes which I was able to connect to JW’s.
I didn’t cry for anything JW related I actually cried because an aura-farming ram had a really sad backstory, and ended up dying, I only cried for the ram tbh.
I still made some more connections from the sheep to the JW’s.
For example all of the sheep literally forgetting that something happened at the same time
“Oh no I can’t grow a beard, oh wait i can grow a beard? Okay let’s all just forget that we couldn’t grow one”
“Wait we can do autologous blood transfusions? Sweet, let’s all forget that they were banned real quick”
“Wait, the end was supposed to happen in 1975? Let’s just forget that happened” I can go on and on
But obviously the PIMI JWs I was with couldn’t see themselves in the sheep that we were watching
Overall very good movie, I would reccomended it, it’s a “family comedy” but it’s actually pretty sad and if you come from a cult then you can identify cult member behavior in the sheep
I really don’t think criticizing sheep behavior was the goal of the directors but my neurodivergent brain was immediately able to draw lines where lines don’t exist.
