Upgrading my match-day basement setup for next season, help!
I’ve been saving up to turn my basement into the ultimate spot for weekend matches so my mates can come over. I want that pub vibe but with better picture quality.
I’m finalizing my shopping list for the summer and wanted to see if anyone has real-world experience with these:
1.The Screen: I’m leaning pretty heavily toward the Hisense UR9. I actually checked it out in person recently, and the color really did stand out. I know store demos are not the same as real home viewing, but the pitch greens, bright kits, and HDR highlights looked very vivid without that hazy look some TVs get when the whole screen is bright.
2.Audio:
Thinking about pairing it with a Sonos Arc plus Era 100 surrounds. I want decent cinematic sound, but I also don’t want giant speakers taking over the whole room.
- Seating:
Probably keeping it simple with a large sectional or maybe the IKEA Landskrona since the room still needs to feel comfortable and not like a dedicated theater cave.
- Lighting:
Going with dimmable warm LEDs behind the seating area because I learned very quickly that completely dark basements get old fast during long matches.
