I’ve got this marlin 336 in 30-30 I inherited from a family member. Not long after acquiring it the stock split (last 2 pictures) and I ended up ordering a new stock from marlin but it doesn’t quite fit right. I looked up the serial number and it looks like the gun was manufactured in 1949 (F stamp) so it makes sense that designs/tolerances would change in ~70 years. I’m assuming custom furniture would be the best route for this, I just have no idea where to start looking for something like that. Also iron sight recommendations would be appreciated as well. The old weaver scope is fine but I would prefer a decent set of irons.
