What’s one Bollywood song every live singer should have in their setlist?

I’ve been updating my live performance setlist lately, and it got me thinking about those Bollywood songs that just always work with a crowd.

Some tracks get everyone singing along, some instantly bring people to the dance floor, while others create that perfect romantic or nostalgic vibe.

As a live singer, I’ve noticed that the audience can completely change the energy of a song during a performance — especially at weddings, private events and live music nights.

So I’m curious:
What’s one Bollywood song you think every live singer should have in their setlist?

It can be an old-school classic, romantic song, dance track or even an underrated song that deserves more love.

Would love to hear your suggestions — I might even add a few of them to my upcoming live sets.

What makes a live singer actually memorable at a wedding or event?

I’ve been performing as a live singer in Jaipur and at destination events across India and overseas, and one thing I’ve realised is that the best performances are rarely about singing the most difficult song.

It’s usually about reading the room.
Sometimes a soft Bollywood song works perfectly during dinner, while at another event the crowd just wants high-energy songs they can sing and dance to. Weddings are especially interesting because you’re performing for people from completely different age groups and musical tastes at the same time.

As a singer, figuring out that balance between Bollywood classics, romantic songs, current hits and dance numbers is probably one of my favourite parts of performing live.
For people who regularly attend weddings, corporate events or live music nights:

Recently got the chance to perform live in Bali 🇮🇩

Recently, I got the opportunity to travel to Bali for a live performance, and it was honestly a really memorable experience.

I’m Harshit Sharma, a live singer and performer based in Jaipur, India, and getting the chance to take my music outside India always feels special.
Performing in Bali was a completely different experience. New place, new audience, new atmosphere — but the moment the music started, everything felt familiar again.

The best part was seeing people enjoy Bollywood and Indian music even while being so far away from home. Some were singing along, some were dancing, and that energy made the whole performance even more enjoyable.
As a live singer, every audience is different, and that’s what keeps performing interesting. You never really know which song will connect the most until you’re actually on stage.

This Bali show was definitely one of those experiences I’ll remember for a long time.
