Had my K-1 visa interview today in Mumbai. Everything seemed to be going perfectly fine until the officer asked about my social media. My DS-160 apparently didn’t include any social media information (my lawyers completed the form), so the officer asked me for my Instagram handle and wrote it down.
She kept my passport and said she couldn’t approve the visa today because additional processing was needed. I was given a 221(g) sheet and told it was for administrative processing/social media review.
I disclosed my instagram handle when asked. No other documents were requested.
Has anyone gone through something similar? How long did the administrative processing take before you received your visa?

Hello, we just paid the appointment fee for our case and haven’t had any luck finding a slot, it’s only been 2 days since we started trying and i’m in india. does anyone have any tips or pointers on finding appointments? right now at all the OFC sites there are no slots available. i’m checking 4-5 times a day. please let me know if anyone has any advice. thanks!
