A immersive tip i learned while playing with memory bank

So in my recent adventure I decided to only rely on memory bank for story memory. But story cards for characters info were still allowed though.

One thing i learned that really helps keep the memory bank updated to current events, is to **literally just talk to some of your companions, or allies about the current events**. That's it.

Like yeah, i know this should be obvious duh, it's what normal books do in their narratives. But c'mon, we're playing an AI adventure. How many times do we not forget to simply do something like that, and just do whatever we want in the moment instead.

So every time after a new major development happens, you should simply find a time to sit with some of them and just talk about your current theory or understanding of the events. Hence the "immersive" part.

This helps create new memory bank entries that will contain updated information relevant to your current story chapter and the characters participating in that.

**It's not perfect of course**, it will commit some fumbles, so you're always better off manually writing your own story summaries. But i think it demonstrates how cool this feature can be.

Does cache models use less memory(bank) by design?

1k turns using Atlas, the max memory used at all times was 5 memories active. Switched to normal Deepseek 3.2, and it instantly increased to 13 ~ 18.

Is the lower usage of memories a design of atlas or is it bugging?

8k context for reference.

Scriptless schedules

I'm curious how many people organize schedules in their stories. Do you use one? Can you share the structure you find works best for you?

For instance i never use one, since i just prompt the story where I want it to go. But i have a scenario now that would work well with some schedules, so I'm willing to finally give it a shot. I'm asking for no scripts so it's more flexible and accessible.
