Brewster gardens or white horse beach ceremony

My fiancé and I think we narrowed down our venue but it does not have enough room for our outside ceremony we’re wondering if anyone has done a wedding ceremony 30 minutes tops at one of these 2 locations! I know that I would need a permit just wondering how it went logistically for you! We would have around 120 for the ceremony

Venue and catering 15k-17k

I’m looking for a venue with a water view (would love ocean or marina) or a very beautiful gardens preferably ballroom not a tent. For 150 ppl (but will probably end up being closer to 130) on the south shore of MA or Rhode Island. Does this exist?? I’m going crazy looking 👀

Wedding venue touring

Hi friends! I am currently touring venues in the South shore mass area and looking for some opinions.

Buckle in this is a long post!!!!
For some reference my fiancé and would love an ocean view but water view is really nice too.
We both come from very big families so it would be between 140-170 ppl we also have a lot of friends., Our parents will be helping us with the majority of payment mostly my (the brides) parents.
Realistically we didn’t want to go over 24k but after viewing prices and thinking about the extra work and costs for individual vendors we are attracted to some of the all inclusive venues.

The most important thing to us is that everyone has the most fun as possible. The food is halfway decent and the service is on point

Venues we like so far

-Jones River Trading Post
Pros-love the nautical theme, it’s very unusual, we also love the bar is from Ireland
-price for almost everything included food, dj, florist, limo it’s about $98 per person and then whatever open bar ends up being total estimate for here would be around $18k-20k
-lots of different menu options
It’s literally so close to where we live
-we’ve been to a wedding there before and from what we remember enjoyed our time, we also know others who got married here and loved it
-has opportunity to use the inside of the venue in case we can’t use outside
-closer to Hotels
Cons- communication so far was very cut and dry
-the whole back area seems kind of run down, the bathrooms are outdated, outside landscaping could use work
-because we don’t like the back would like to do a ceremony somewhere else which would take more planning and a town permit for a public park
-no food tastings
- we had one bad experience with my meal there and heard from someone else the same thing
-the indoor ceremony we saw there seemed a little tacky with the room divider

Then the second venue we just viewed

The canoe club ballroom in west Bridgewater

Pros
It’s also an all inclusive venue
-we have heard about great things from people who have attended or had their weddings there.
-customer service was on point so far, you can tell the owner really takes pride in the company and the staff we saw seemed happy
-the venue itself is beautiful and they’re doing more renovations soon
-they do tasting events to really try all of the options of the food
-2 packages that can include almost everything “everything but the dress” package really takes care of everything for you including photographer, Photo Booth, catering dj, florals $160 per person
$40 per person for open bar
-very nice bridal suite and man cave to get ready or come and get ready
-can still pick between a few different vendors for the options
Cons-
-location is a little further for some of my family and not really near many hotels, maybe only like 1 nearby spot for after party
-pricing would end up being about $33k but that’s for everything
-more woodsy vibe but still on water with a nice gazebo
-pricing is supposed to be going up soon so if we don’t lock it in soon we might miss out on $3500 over charges

Other venues we’ve looked at
The villa -wasn’t our vibe no water views and didn’t really like that they could have 3 weddings at 1 time
-heritage gardens -fully booked for 2027

-others we’re touring -the Venezia

- I was setting a tour up with harbor lights in Warwick, di but it seems they do 2 weddings at a time now

-sea view, shining tides and flying bridge are on our radar too now!

If you made it this far please give me some thoughts and feedback especially if you toured these or had a wedding there!!

Thank you thank you

-2027 Bride
