Woodland Pond

I built this terrain piece specifically for the Blood Moon scenario in Rangers of Shadow Deep, which suggests using a pond roughly 12 inches across. I don't have many water pieces in my terrain collection, so I'm looking forward to using this in many different games in the future.

It's built on a thin wood base with XPS foam and Sculptamold to create the main structure. Painted, flocked, embellished with painted aquarium plants, and finished with resin and water effects. Please enjoy the photos! And feedback, criticisms, questions, etc. always welcomed. Thanks for taking a look.

Docks and Canal District Battle Board

Hi everyone! I crafted this 4'x4' terrain board for gaming, specifically Mordheim, and thought I'd share it here. I made four 2'x2' squares out of the usual supplies - XPS foam, textured caulk, some 3D printed docks and walkways, aquarium plants, and epoxy resin for the canal water. I kept the ground level at the same height and built three risers to add height when needed, and four tree planters to go with the set. The planters fit some finished trees I already had in my stash.

I included some photos with the board covered in terrain and minis so you could see it in action. Thanks for taking a look! Any feedback - comments, criticism, tips - is always welcomed!

Docks and Canal Battle Board Ready for Action!

I recently finished a canal district board and wanted to share it here. The base is four 2'x2' sections built with XPS foam, some 3D printed docks and walkways, and epoxy resin for the canal water. I kept the ground level the same height throughout for ease of use depending on the game layout, and made three simple risers with XPS foam and textured caulk to add variation as needed. To finish the overall feel, I built four tree planters which fit some autumn-themed trees I already had in my stash. I'll add scaffolding, market stalls, fishing stations, etc. in the future for another terrain set.

I hope you enjoy the photos! I've included a couple of layouts with various terrain pieces and minis. The canal water holds many secrets, only a few of which are easy to photograph! Some are even hard to spot in person, to be honest. I hid some green glass wyrdstone, rusty weapons, water-logged skeletons, and even a couple desiccating corpses of former warband members who've met their end in the murky waters of Mordheim.

Comments and criticism always welcomed! Thank you for reading and taking a look if you made it this far. Looking forward to getting some games in soon!

Gatehouse Terrain Piece

Hello all! Finished painting this piece yesterday and I'm anxious to share. It's the Ulvheim Bridgehouse, easy to find the STL with a quick search. The model is ten different pieces that I printed it on two aging Ender 3s, both still going strong with some upgrades and repairs.

Our Mordheim group will be starting a new campaign (hopefully) soon, and we're using a version of the map rules - so a gatehouse should come in handy. Each floor is removable and fully playable (three floors on each tower side, plus the main floor spanning the gap), although I'm curious to see how a multi-story modular building will work in play on the table with minis all over the place.

Really happy with the end result! Any comments, criticisms, ideas to improve the next piece, always welcomed. Thank you for taking a look.
