Getting a long overdue start to my Ostermark warband. The Halberdier I’ve had in my pile of shame for over 30+ years, so felt really good to finally do him justice and have him ready for the tabletop. The Swordsman has been made up from a host of plastic pieces from various Empire sets, those sets are so good for kitbashing.
Had some skaven lying about from an old starter box. With some small alterations to take the heroes down a notch and adding more small rats I then decided to mess about with some combinations of colours I don't usually use. Decently happy with the results although the armour on the rat ogre was a miscalculation, it blends in too much with the red skin.

I was reading that there are all kinds of deadly mutant plants and trees in the Memorial Gardens, and I thought it would be a good idea to create a warband based on that. Not so much to play with it, but to add them as NPCs in my narrative campaign. But I can’t find stats for plant units in any of the games set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Has anyone worked on something similar or have any recommendations on how I could go about this?

This time I've tried to maximize the number of models I can start with. I usually run a Troll in my warband, so this will be my first campaign without one.

Hey! Day 1 is over—here’s my recap:
Two games in the morning, one in the afternoon. We rotated among the 8 tables, with each game featuring a different scenario and opponent. We beat the heat by drinking beer, hahaha.
Curious locals stopped by to see what the event was all about—one neighbor even told me his son asked him for miniatures and paints for Christmas! A huge win for the hobby and the community.
As for me personally, I lost my first game against Dwarf Rangers. I played really badly—I kept my warlord too far away from the troll and, well… took way too many hits.
Second game: victory against the Undead. My chariot’s horse died, and I had to buy another one, but that wasn’t a big deal.
Third game: a victory against Forest Goblins. I got a very open table and was able to move my chariot easily. We played a little “bowling” with the goblins. Their Frenzy didn’t do much when you hit and wound on a 5+ and try it against a troll and an ogre.
More tomorrow! Here are a few photos. It’s worth noting that one of the rules in the tournament guidelines was that we could have a chariot with a horse for free (even if it’s depicted with a different design). That crazy Portuguese buddy of mine brought a land ship, for example, hahaha. I’m also posting a photo of the table where we’ve set up the warbands for voting to see who wins the painting prize.
I hope you like it, and I hope more people come next year so we’ll have more than 16 players! There’s plenty of space here!
yes, im aware it's almost funny how late to the club I am, but I've been using BattleScribe for the past few years, and it's worked great for me, unfortunately since they've moved over to new recruit they pushed a new mordheim update and broke every single one of my rosters. luckily, I had SOME of them written on paper, but it pretty much broke 4 of my rosters. I want to find a new digital solution to warband building that ISNT new recruit.cause not gonna lie I admire what they've made, I'm sure it was a lot of effort. it is absolutely ass when it comes to UI/UX and in my personal experience borderline unusable
Sorry if this has been asked before I've just recently started playing and want a bit of clarification on what my warband can equip.
I'm playing gunnery school of nuln and was wondering what weapons I could equip for example if found and brought from the trading post after a game would i be able to equip one of my heroes with a cathayan longsword or would that require the weapons training skill?
Basically I'm using mordheimer.net for rules and am a little confused between the difference in gear shown on the warband page under equipment list and special equipment compared to what is shown on the trading post page once ive applied the filter for my warband. Am i allowed to equip whats shown on the trading post without skills or just what's shown on the warband page?
