Just wanted to take a second to thank you amazing people who recommended in-home end of life care for my dog. I was able to connect with Laps of Love and start planning for palliative care in the meantime to ensure my dog is comfortable with support until the time comes for the next step.

Your words were all so kind, loving, and helpful, and it was really encouraging to hear from those who have lost pets and are on the other side.

Thank you, bitches, you made one of the most heartbreaking, daunting tasks much easier to navigate and we feel so at peace with our next steps and the care plan in place.

This is the worst rec I have ever had to come to you for, but probably the most important. My elderly dog has stage 4 Kidney Disease and our vet had the difficult conversation about quality of life and rapid decline. She's still eating and using the bathroom minimally, but the fire is gone and she's tired. I need to prepare to make a choice to ensure she isn't in pain when she transitions across the rainbow bridge.

She's an angel of a dog, but has always been fearful of the vet so I would prefer an in-home option if it comes to that. Any recommendations for vets in the DMV area that do in-home euthanasia services (ouch it hurt to type that)?

I've used Codapet in the midwest to find this service for family, but they do not show any available vets for my zip code.

Hey friends I'm back again looking for a rec.

Groomers with good reputations? I have an elderly, slightly arthritic xl breed who needs a nail trim. I have a car so I'm not deterred by a drive for good, gentle grooming but I live in the Columbia Heights/Mount Pleasant area so anything nearby would def be appreciated. I used to go to Patrick's Pet Care but they closed a while back and the anxiety of doing nail trims at home is getting to my girl and I, we gotta outsource again.

I'll be moving in about 6 weeks to a new spot within the same neighborhood, I am overwhelmed by the search for movers who will do a good job for a reasonable price. I've been burned by a bad moving company before, so would love some suggestions or recs from folks who have had good experiences! I don't need full service, I am a sick freak who loves to pack and organize, just a service to physically relocate everything from one apartment to another. Thanks in advance!
