Lab/lecture at different schools

I took microbio lecture at my 4-year, got a B-. Took the lab there also, which is separate, got an A-.

If I retake the lecture at another school, will ABSNs take my new school's lecture and old school's lab grades? Or should I retake the lab also. Only taking the lecture would save me a lot of money.

Willing to move literally anywhere for an ABSN, but how many schools is too many?

I graduate with a BS in bio next month from a UC and I'm working on prereqs for absns now through December. Going to school in my hometown would be great because I can live with my parents rent free, but it's SoCal and really competitive. I'm willing to go anywhere. Literally anywhere with a manageable COL (no nyc, miami, etc). How many schools should I apply to?

I can start applying in Jan, but the school 15 min away from my house has an app deadline in June. If I got into a midwest school before I can even submit the school close to home's app, should I just go? I'll be 22 this year and I just want to become a nurse ASAP, but of course also want to make the best decision financially.

I'm also worried about asking a professor for a letter if I'm applying widely, though I'm hoping most use NursingCAS so they only have to upload it once. So if I'm willing to move anywhere with an okay COL, how many schools should I apply to?
