“New” Jurassic Park release w/ATMOS and DV.
One of the first purchases I made 3 years ago when I upgraded to an ATMOS 7.2.4 system and bought a 4K TV was the Jurassic World 5 movie collection on UHD. I slapped in Jurassic Park in DTS:X and to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement. I know the Jurassic Park movies were released about a year ago (first 3 movies) with DV and ATMOS track but I was like, I’m NOT going to buy these again! Well, I stumbled across the OG JP (new version) and picked it up for like $15. Anyway, I am here to report it is light years better in picture AND sound than the first release. For anyone out there, like me, that was on the fence about buying this again let me say; go for it! For those who plan on buying this that may be new to the hobby, I highly recommend skipping the older version with the DTS:X track and buying the DV/ATMOS version!
I was really never a fan of JP2 but, even though it was cheesy, did like JP3. I may just pick the new release of this one too - on sale! The other 2 JW movies were in ATMOS as part of that 5 movie set so won’t bother with those…
