Scraps from the chippy

Hello!

I think this counts as a celebration of British food, but feel free to delete if that's a bit of a stretch! I'm originally from Grimsby so consider myself to be something of a fish and chips connoisseur. I really love scraps, but unfortunately I've lived in a relative scraps desert (Manchester) for the last 20 years.

Me and my mate have been talking about the regional availability of scraps for years and we thought it'd be fun to create an app where you could mark whether fish and chip shops sold [edit: people are annoyed that I’ve implied scraps are ”sold” - I guess I meant ”served”!] scraps or not on some kind of map. I only got around to making a little website earlier this year. There's been a load of contributions but they've dried up a bit recently, hence me posting on here.

Anyway, here's the site: https://scrapp.cc/. I think it's fairly self explanatory! I'm not just interested in shops that do sell scraps, I'm also interested in the shops that definitely don't.

If people just want to say where their favourite fish and chip shops are I'm also here for that. Top 4 for me off the top of my head are:
- Marklews in Cleethorpes or Grimsby
- Steels in Cleethorpes
- Hanbury's in Babbacombe
- Happy's in Chesterfield
