sorry if this isn't the sub i should post this on or right flair to use i kinda just wanna rant tbh

So recently i got my first gaming laptop. It's a pretty good gaming laptop for college (i7 14700hx and RTX 5060). Because college starts at September for me, I decided to play some games, including Geometry Dash, Osu!, Modded Minecraft (mostly skyfactory), HSR, and WuWa. My parents told me that I should take care of it so I use the lowest settings, performance options (quiet mode) and DLSS on HSR and WuWa so reduce the strain on my laptop. I even bought a laptop cooler to reduce temps even further.

I let my little brother use my laptop for WuWa because his laptop can't rly run WuWa now (4fps in combat), and when she saw it she immediately told me to not play games on it and only """light games""" (pretty much something like henry stickmin).

For context, WuWa was only running at about 65°-70°C CPU and 50°-60° GPU and the cpu only took like 11W (TDP 55W iirc). Ram usage was about 3.5gb. I (and my brother) uses DLSS at 2x frame gen so gpu usage is around 60-70% MAX. I told her that it won't break my laptop but she literally won't listen to me at all essentially didn't acknowledge me.

Genuine question: Am I wrong? Could playing like this potentially screw me over later? I read everything and I saw that my temps were around 10°, maybe 15°-20° cooler than the average user but I'm kinda unsure now.

I'm prob gonna listen to her for now to calm her down, since she genuinely thinks games are always bad for computers. It genuinely gets kinda tiring tho when it feels like someone who doesn't know jack about computers try to tell me how to use my computer.

sorry for the kinda long rant lol, i genuinely want some answers for some peace of mind
