What do you think it would mean to a therapist if the client were to suddenly switch the method in which they were going to unalive themselves. Like if they had planned to do pills or jump off a bridge then switch to something like hanging or splitting their wrists. Is this a red flag for inpatient time?
My therapist does a suicide screener at the end of every session and afterwards he confirms that my method hasn't changed and he asks what stops me from trying (which I hate this question)?
So I'm wondering if there is a reason why he asks about what method I plan to use?
