My son is 19 months old and I just gave birth to my daughter. He started this beforehand though.
He overall is a happy great kid! Always laughing and finding joy in life I swear this kids personality is great! He doesn’t pay much attention to his sister I don’t think he fully understands, but especially when he’s tired or doesn’t get away, he screams on the top of his lungs and then hits me or his dad! We both say “no that’s not nice!” Or “stop!” Or gently tap his hand and say no or I wait til he’s calm then I hug him, but nothing seems to work :( I don’t want to physically discipline him, I’m just looking for advice or want to know I’m not alone.
It’s hard already with my newborn. I give my son so much attention and include him when I take care of his sister with baths and feedings and he helps! But the tantrums UGH 🥺
