Do you guys check FB ad URLs for 404?

In short, I work in a media agency in Prague and about half a year ago we had a client's landing page go down on a Friday night. Nobody noticed until Monday morning the ads kept running all weekend, every click going to a 404 page.

Facebook never paused the campaign. No alert, nothing. Just silently charged for every click. And the client didn't notice either, because they simply missed it too.

That incident plus many more like it pushed me to build an automated checker for our agency. Over time, with many updates, I transformed a simple internal tool into a full SaaS available to everyone, because to this day hundreds of media buyers don't check for 404s in their Facebook ads and waste their budget on broken pages which is unacceptable in this day and age of automation.

In short, It connects via the official Meta Graph API (read-only), scans every active ad URL every 2–24 hours, and sends an instant email the moment a 404 or 503 is detected.

Been running it internally for a while and recently launched it as a proper tool with name 404Watcher.

Want to test it free for a month? Leave a comment and I'll send you website link + promo code that unlocks any tier for a full month.

Would love feedback from people actually managing accounts!

Reminder:

Not trying to promote anything here I just think this is something every media buyer should have running. Manually checking ad URLs across multiple accounts wastes hours every week, and most people don't even realize how much budget bleeds into broken pages without any warning.
