Hi everyone,

Looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

Just went to a new dentist today and he let me know that all 4 of my wisdom teeth are impacted.

My top two wisdoms are impacting my sinuses, and my bottom right wisdom root is hooked around my nerve and the bottom left is wrapped around the nerve. I also have overcrowding throughout my whole mouth.

He’s recommended a referral to a specialist and has said that a coronectomy is most likely what will happen for the two bottom wisdom teeth. However i still need to be assessed by the specialist so not certain by any means.

Feeling a bit scared and nervous after doing some googling, but just wanting to hear some lived experience. I’ve been reading through the thread and seen lots of people with experience of roots near the nerve but none that seem as bad as mine.

Also, I’m based in Melbourne, Australia so if anyone has any recommendations for specialists please send them my way!

Thank you

Howdy everyone,

Looking for any and all advice !

My cat is 2.5 years old and I’ve had her since she was a kitten. Pretty much ever since I’ve had her she has peed on various surfaces that are not her litter box.

Sometimes she’ll go weeks without an accident and other times it’s like once every couple of days.

I’ve tried various types of litter boxes, litter types, litter box locations and enzyme sprays. Ive even tried feeding her treats in various places that she would be so she would associate it with eating and peeing! I’ve also seen the vet many times over the years and they have ruled out any health issues. We also don’t believe it is anxiety based as she is very confident in the house and around people.

She has no problem with using the litter for both pees and poops, it’s just that she’ll also pee on rugs, beds, carpet, couches, clothes and soft surfaces.

I live in a sharehouse so it’s becoming a much larger problem, as my housemates have to keep their doors closed at all times and keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t go in their rooms, which is not fair to them.

My theory is that she’s being territorial?!? We have had cats live in the house previously but since then the carpets have either been professionally cleaned or in one room entirely replaced (not due to previous cat, however did happen after previous cat), but alas this has not stopped her. Otherwise she has previously had an affinity for peeing on second-hand furniture, but recently this has not been the case. She has peed on my brand new rug and my housemates brand new mattress.

I’m honestly so lost on what to do, my vets latest recommendation was just ‘close the doors, don’t let her in the rooms she pees in’. However, that doesn’t really address the problem, instead just puts her in kitchen/bathroom/laundry prison. She’s perfect in every other way, so happy and confident and loves cuddles and new people, she just pees on shit.
