Why do antidepressants make me so much more emotional?

I started taking 300mg bupropion about two months ago, and ever since, I've noticed I'm so much more emotional. This includes being sad, the highs of happiness, and the lows of sadness, just hit so much harder. I've never been one to cry whenever I get sad, but now, not only do I cry from that, I've actually cried from happiness more than once. Is this common? Does anyone else have experiences like this? I'm having trouble finding information on this kind of reaction from Google; most of the results are only about emotional blunting. Please let me know!
