Hi everyone, pa-advice lang 🙏

I’m a Civil Service Professional passer and I’ve been working in private companies (finance-related roles) since 2019. Gusto ko sana mag-shift to a government career, but I can’t help but feel—too late na ba?

For context:

• Around 5+ years private experience (banking and fintech)

• CSC passer

• No prior government experience

Medyo naiisip ko if disadvantage na ba na puro private background ko, or if may chance pa makapasok sa govt at this stage.

For those working in government:

  1. Is it still possible to enter kahit mid-career na?

  2. Did anyone here shift from private to govt? How did you do it?

  3. Do agencies value private experience, or mas priority talaga may “backer”/internal experience?

  4. Should I start with Job Order/Contractual roles first?

Honestly medyo nakakafrustrate lang kasi I feel like I’m starting from zero ulit 😅 Any advice or real talk would really help. Thank you!
