My 21-year old FB account was wrongfully disabled with no recourse/help

My 21-year old FB account was wrongfully disabled with no recourse/help

I have had an FB account since 2005 with absolutely no terms violations, I have never even been in FB jail. I run several business pages and communities on FB and have been very active the past 2 decades.

On May 6th, I attempted to load my FB app on my phone and was met with a screen saying my account had been disabled for violations of their terms of use. I received an email saying the same and there was a link to "appeal" the decision.

When I clicked "Appeal" nothing would load. I tried repeatedly clicking that button (which is probably the biggest mistake I made here!!) but it simply would not load anything at all for me. I figured it was a glitch but I still couldn't access my account.

Then, I got an email that appears to be related to advertising on my business page. I have not done any paid ads for years.

The link on that email (shortly after where this screenshot cuts off) also would not load.

Because of this, I was not able to submit a review request. The following morning, I got this email:

Unfortunately, they claim I did request a review and that it was still against their TOS.

The decision is permanent. I can not request another review.

Now when I go to FB to log in, this is what I see:

I have chatted with their AI bot and have tried everything it told me to, to no avail. One of the suggestions was to verify my IG account in order to access chatting with a real person (more on the IG account next...) which I did and have no access to chat, despite it saying it's one of my verified features. There's nowhere to access it.

I have access to my linked IG account and in my account center, I can still see my FB account listed only it says "locked" next to it. My IG account used to cross post to my FB and that isn't available now. However, when I go to my business IG account which cross posts to my business page on FB, it STILL works, I just have no access to that business page any longer via FB, I can post from IG though...

I really feel caught in a huge glitch of some kind, but I have no idea how to get out of it. I am increasingly frustrated as this has gone on 10 days now with no progress made despite working on it daily and finding nothing but brick walls. I find it hard to understand that a company that thrives on customer satisfaction has literally no customer service.

One of the suggestions of their AI bot was to take legal action... I would prefer to just have someone, a real person, hop on and see that this is a big mess that didn't have to happen and get me squared away again. :-/ 21 years of memories lost at the same time as my oldest child graduating high school is like a cosmic joke... I'm really not okay! haha

Will refinancing really become an option??

We are essentially first time homebuyers. We owned 2010-2017 but haven’t owned since. We were dummies and didn’t buy right away, then the market went nuts. We are now getting back into the market with a very low down mortgage so payments will be higher than we wanted and at 6.125%.

We are doing this because we aren’t getting younger and we have to start building equity, it’s now or never for us quite realistically. Of course we won’t build any for quite awhile (although we are getting a good price and will build equity with some elbow grease pretty quickly). Will refinancing ever become an option or do we anticipate interest rates will always be like this or worse? I mean no one knows for sure but are we being totally dumb banking on a future refi? lol 😝
