Uniform Recommendations

To make it quick, I need your guy’s opinion on uniforms.

I left my dealer job, was an 8 brand dealer and there wasn’t enough to go around. I was flagging 30-32 hours average this last year. I found a new job pretty quickly at a construction company for a small engine mechanic.

They’re not going to provide uniforms which I don’t mind since the uniforms I’ve used in the past have all been subpar in my opinion. I’m curious to those that supply their own clothing what has worked for them.

Hi I hope the title is clear, but I will still provide additional information.

My wife works in the medical field as a social worker. She has told me earlier today, that one of her coworkers will be sent out for training with the county health provider.

She was told that while her coworker is out, she and another coworker will need to take on her workload which consists of ~ 50 people split between the two for a few weeks until she returns. The workload consists of calling, documenting and general communication between the worker and client.

Now my wife has her own work to do (her own 50+ people) , and told me about what is happening. I told her my two cents, but I told her I would ask the great people of Reddit.

I would like to say that her company hates overtime, and my wife doesn’t get payed nearly enough to justify being a “team player” and taking on the additional workload.

I have no idea if this violates and labor laws, but I felt this was the best place to ask.
