Jazz Basses vs Precision Basses, explain it to me like I eat crayons.

I've been doing research on what kind of bass I want to get for my first bass. But a lot of the information I've been trying to look at doesn't make a lot of sense to me since I just have no frame of reference for any of it. This is one of those things. I might throw all my attempt at research and ignore advice that people give me just to pick the bass that speaks to my heart even if it is slightly ill-advised because I don't know what I'm doing. But I wanna at least try to do so knowingly if I can manage it. Explaining other potentially confusing terms might also be helpful. Again, please explain it to me like I'm stupid and/or from a different planet.

Short scale bass suggestions and advice?

Background: I so far have absolutely zero experience with bass aside from very light googling and pick up and holding a couple basses to see how they feel. I play a bit of ukulele, I use to play some acoustic guitar but dropped it because I really enjoyed playing ukulele and kind of didn't really enjoy guitar. Recently I've decided to get a bass because I've been wanting to for a few years now and I have some friends who could use a bassist to jam with.

Bass Requirements: I'm of a fairly small stature, so I probably need a smaller bass, and it seems like short scale is the way to go for that based on what I was looking at in the music store I went to. Even the short scale ones feel really big to me, but I think I could learn to manage it with practice. I am kind of fussy about color more than is practical. But I know me, and I know that if I don't like the colors I'm not going to want to play it, haha! I prefer green, but cream, orange, yellow, and red also tend to make me happy! I'm not so fussy about genre though. I tend to be constantly bouncing between music genres without much preference of one over another. So maybe something versatile, but I'll work with what I can get. I was kind of eyeing the Squier Paranormal Rascal HH online, so if anyone has experience with that one and if it's a good bass for what I'm looking for, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Advice: What are some good resources from learning bass? Is there anything I should know coming at it from ukulele perspective? What songs do you recommend I start out with learning?

Thanks so much in advance!

Oddly Specific Game Request for a Weird Brain and a Weirder Mouse

The Weird Brain: So I've been dealing with a strange mystery illness that has left me spending a lot of time lying down unable to think clearly. Because I've been spending so much time lying down being bored out of my skull, I figured out a way to get my PC to have a screen by my bed and I got a strange mouse I can use without straining my shoulder or wrist so much. The level of functionality my brain has been varies widely from normal and sharp to lost in familiar locations and unable to process written word. (Still trying to figure out why this is happening) Games with both routine and goals to work towards like Stardew Valley, Moonlighter, and Dog Sled Saga have been great to keep me entertained with optional levels of thinking, but I have been craving something new to throw into the mix increasingly desperately.

The Weirder Mouse: The mouse looks like a toy pizza cutter made for a doll, and is basically a handheld version of those little nubbins some laptops have in the middle of their keyboards but with buttons attached. Scrolling is easy, clicking is easy, clicking and dragging requires either waiting 3 full seconds for the mouse to enter click and drag mode, or using one hand to hold down the click and the other to move the cursor which makes that less convenient, and moving the cursor precisely can be a little bit slower. It also for some reason has no scroll wheel button that I've been able to identify despite having a scroll wheel. I have found this mouse to work beautifully for the digital adaptation of Wingspan. The problem with Wingspan is it takes more thinking that I can usually manage when I need to lie down.

I am a sucker for cozy vibes and pixel art, but I'm open to different genres and art styles. Although given the brain and general set up involved, fast paced reflex based games probably won't work too well, haha! Sorry this post is so long, I hope it makes some level of sense. It feels like a long shot, but if anyone has game recommendations based on these limitations I will be beyond grateful!
