guy im exclusive with actively following other girls
this has been really bothering me but i feel like if i get some third-party advice id feel better!
context:
i (24F) met this guy (29M) in march 2025 and we were just friends. we started hooking up exclusively that august. this march we had the ‘conversation’- we expressed that we liked each other and have been going on dates. im writing this in may.
he is adamant that he isn’t seeing anyone else which id like to believe
the issue:
he has been actively following and unfollowing girls he has mutual followers with on instagram. he’s also liking their pictures…
when we had the ‘conversation’ i briefly mentioned i did not like when guys followed random girls because it made me feel insecure. he said he ‘hated instagram’.
most of the time they have a few mutuals- which i feel like is worse than just following OF models! these girls are attainable in some way… and most of them look nothing like me.
i guess im looking for insight as to why he is doing this? he compliments me, texts me regularly, pays for things… but i cannot stop thinking about the girls he’s following. he’s been cheated on before in the past so i feel like he’d understand where im coming from…
i don’t know. i’m aware that we are not official and that a lot of this stems from my own insecurities. i guess i need help on how to bring this up to him (or if i should at all) without coming off as overbearing or ‘crazy’.
