🥳🥳 celebrate bodyroll

I’m writing this post as an actual owner of the Mazda MX5 ND2 2.0 (184cv) 2023 with LSD and KPC(Kinematic Posture Control)
-The optionals are full (Exclusive Line(spain) +assistances)
-The suspension and brakes are stock (no brembo, no blistein no strut bar at the front)
-The stock tires S001 bridgestone

I drive the car full stock daily during almost one year for 35.000km and thats are my thoughts and facts:

-The car is very comfy to go chilling anywhere on town, theres is enough place for shopping supermarket weekly you park everywhere you have camera rear sensors and emergency brake when you park. We dont have front sensors and no electric fold mirrors function, you have retractable top , comfort key so is more than enough for a dayly comfort.

-Consumption real average 6’9 l/100km( all the uses), highway i have real numbers 5,5 l/100 km amd you can go lower if you want my best mark is 4’9L/100km.

🫀When you push the car: its another car for sure, is the spirit of sport and racing that are you looking for, it will respond and teach you everyday as a driver . People will look at you like you are racing or something because the body roll the car feel dramatic with that suspension architecture, and for sure stock bumpers.

👁️One part of pushing the car its fun the other one it can be dangerous too so you can get some lack of confidence to plant the car and go throttle with this stock configuration you have to correct more because of that miss of confidence.
In my case the rear was very zig zaggy on corner going throttle . The good part of this stock configuration is that you get the felling of the car limit , you go sideways very easy, and its addictive, but as i said its a little bit dangerous.

🚀So now it will come the part of the MODS to solve this by order of install:

-First Mod : strut brace for the front: UltraRacing 4 point strutbar. (Strut bar is missing if you dont get the brembo package) so i install this aftermarket one . The feeling was notorious, it gives you security at high speed on highway , and solid feeling on the front. So very happy ( you louse a little bit of softly feeling if you want to turn on town but gives you for sure better results and confidence when you push. Without that bar i would say its a little bit dangerous the miata for pushing.

-Second mod : Michelin Pilot Sport 5 205/45 R17, yeah it sound like NPC , but actually these are my first Michelin tires that i test. So i have to try . they have special offer so i go for it instead of legal semislick like (nankag) was the other option. Compared to the bridgestone s001 dramitacally more grip, more progressive, more fast (less limit fun) very different feelig. Now the car is plated i can go full throttle now so lets see how much they will last with that feeling 3.000km now. (Update) : i drove one track day on Valencia Circuit(Ricardo tormo), the michelin is very progressive, but as street tyres, if you dont respect pressures and temperatures they will gone with temperature , for luck i respect that times for cold tyres and check presser during 3 h and the tyres are fine i keep driving daily i would say maybe i waste 10% of the tyre.

-Third mod: Aligment 100€ i look the numbers on the flyngmiata webside and i discuss with gemini and chat gpt for my dayly driving needs and i put some negative cambers and casters later i write the numbers that i put compared to the flyngmiata numbers. Sow now the car is like a train on highway corners, and in pusshing zones i have confidence, grip and better precision in all the aspects. So happy for the aligment and the PS5 also on trackday. For sure on PS5 its another level of grip.

-Fourth MOD: Brakes: Goodbridge metal break lines, EBC yellow stuff pads on the front and MOTUL 700 brake liquid. Okey so i dont do intense breaking on my daily driving, and if i go for mountain road i would say that im not a fun to push to much the brakes on public roads . But on stock brakes (no brembo) when i drive i feel irregular feeling on the break pedal some fade, some vibrations when it gets to much hot , and the feeling as i said too soft and irregular in daily driving too.

With the new ebc yellow stuff on the front and the metal breaking lines the car is more regular on breaking and the pedal feeling is more secure and effective , the comfort is the same the noise is 0 so the same as stock truly happy also with this llitle improve on breaking. I have done one track day and i have 0 problems with the brakes.
So now I feel that i have like OEM + comfort setup with a good equilibrium and i really like that.
But as always i want to have more and more.

Now i would say what i would do next.(Turn to the sportside)🦍

-Final exhaust ( muffler) iwant to get more noise, just to feel that i go fast. my top choice is the flying miata with the active sistem where you can decide the level of opennes or close the valve, the problem the price. (Finally i get an Ingarsa sport exhaust muffler from spain) i will install next week i will share video sound if this post has any interest.

-Suspension. ( im not sure to change the suspension) is my daily car so i dont wants to force the car every day with a hard suspension, i dont know what to do.There are a lot of options to change suspension, springs, bumbpers, coilovers swaybars etc. But the car limit right now is that stock suspension, its soft its comfy but also is more slow, you lose dynamics if you dont respect the times on body roll during hard cornering.
For the moment i will stay on stock for more km until i decide to change suspension maybe next year.

-Sway bars so its always good for confident to have better sway bars the car will be more planted for sure , but i dont know if i need it right now maybe i will try for the rear one first, because i have that srutbar on the front.

So these are my long thoughts of more than one year owner ndmiata
I hope you like and I read you on comments for any recomendation or question about the ND2 miata.
