How to proceed dating in a town I don’t wanna live in
I (27F) am about to move to a town about 1.5 hours from the city I grew up in. If it were my choice, I would be living in that city but shit’s tough out here. I DO NOT like the prospect of a rural area. I’m planning to probably spend most weekends in that city anyway and I am not interested in dating someone who prefers to live over an hour from a major city.
I considered setting my hinge location to that city but I think that would be difficult if someone wants to meet after work or something.
I also don’t wanna come across as a bitch by saying flat out “no I don’t like being in this town you’ve chosen to live in and I have no desire to go to small town shit in my free time. I’d rather find someone who wants to go into the city as much as possible” but I also sorta wanna get that sentiment across. Does anyone have any advice for how to proceed? I’m also just bummed because more people are probably in the reverse problem where they are forced to go live in a city because that’s where tue jobs are but I doubt I’ll find many people who are in my situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
