New task associate

Hi guys I’m new task associate I’ve been working at Ulta for about a month now and I’ve noticed on my schedule I’m working not at the usual 6am time. Instead I’m working at 10am-12pm it a 2hr shift label meeting-training? I was wondering what Is that and why so short of a shift?

I got hired as a task associate 3 weeks ago the hours are really bad but in the interview they were so adamant about having open availability and that I will be working at least 3x a week. I only get one 4 hr shift a week which is usually Friday’s. And for the month of May I’m only scheduled 4x and one of those shifts are only 2hrs. Just why would they be so adamant about open availability if they don’t even schedule you often? I’m currently a college student and I don’t make enough to get by, I’m scared if I pick up another job it can interfere. And would getting more hours improve over time?
