With the amount of times my store is out of stock of products, and most of the customers I help willing to apply, is there a way to offer the 20% along with doing store to door orders? My managers weren’t sure but also said I could try having them apply before clicking the s2d button. I just feel like I’m losing out on cards when I find the perfect product for someone and come to find out we don’t even have it.
Just reaching out for advice here. I am an external hire and OM. How did you establish yourself within your team? I have been here a year and still feel like my MM is who everyone goes to for input on planos/ad and she is the one who tries to lead them. I know I’m good at my job and enjoy what I do but I am feeling so discouraged and overstepped lately it is making me want to leave Ulta. For context she was offered the position before they hired me and turned it down. My GM at the time had her train me for the OM position. She has told me multiple times she does not want my job and turned down the role several times previously. She says this but constantly oversteps and acts like she has to do both my job and hers. I’m just at a loss.
I mean even after the ethics hotline and LP were made aware of an employe selling their gratis. The employee says she didn’t know it was against the rules. Because of her claiming ignorance she was talked to (and a documented coaching) and afterwards she was given the OPTION to go home the rest for of the day and was able to decide if she wanted to work her next shift.
When do hours start picking up? I got hired in may but the hours have been horrible so far. For this new week I only got 10. It makes me wonder why I was even hired if they didn’t have hours to give out….

What do your systems for getting trunk done faster look like?
Including how many taskers you have etc. What system do you keep to keep back stock or stock room organized?
I'm stepping into this role and I'm trying to get some ideas. Any advice would help 😭
and I got the limited edition black honey hi-fi, and the new Moisture surge 2 in 1 cleanser exfoliator!! 😇 this is my first job as a licensed esthi and I have been absolutely over the mooonnnn! My store is full of wonderful kind people, my GM is absolutely AMAZING and genuinely cares about everyone!! I came here from a horrible grocery store job I was at for 6 years, and treated so poorly. I feel so blessed to finally be doing a job I love and feel passion for… and a work environment where I am treated right 🥹❤️ if anyone is looking for a sign to leave that other crappy job and fully dive into ulta/the beauty world… do it!!! I haven’t been this happy in years
I was a MM at ulta and I quit two weeks ago. I was expecting my accrued vacation time to be paid out this week, but it still shows me in the system and I have not received my paycheck. I did send my DM and HR a email about it and got no response (this was Thursday the 2nd around 10am)
I understand that I have not properly been termed but wouldn’t that be a priority? Since I’m still in the system I am technically getting paid for holiday hours..
I do have a planned vacation that I didn’t cancel bc I quit 23 days prior. Do I still need to go in and cancel it… I want to be paid out my vacation not use it.
The store has all new management(mostly transfers) and I didn’t leave on bad terms. But the no response from HR is wild to me and I am unsure what to do beyond that point.
Does anybody know if we get holiday pay for the 4th of July?! I’m part time and confused by all the posts about holiday pay. They all contradict each other
I’m trying to get the 5X points that is currently active until tomorrow, but it’s only on the app. I was about to check out, when I realized that the employee discount didn’t auto-apply. I still want the 5X points tho cause I have a big order. Does anyone know how to go about this?
Our GM took away our (PBAs) brushes. They claimed that we didn’t cleaned them and didnt take care of them. I can’t apply bronzer, blush or any product to customers or lend them a brush if they went to apply makeup a certain way. I have to borrow from boutique and it’s getting tiring. One of our managers also commented that PBAs should NOT have brushes AT ALL. So I guess we can’t bring our own brushes either. Has this happened to anyone else?
I had the absolute displeasure of working for a DM in the Pittsburgh area, named Heather Walk. She was awful. She pushed out and fired so many good people, ran the district into the ground, disregarded federal labor laws, fired someone for being “exclusionary” because they hung pride flags on their salon station, refused to promote people who had been there for 5-10 years simply because they didn’t allow her to make up her own rules and push them around, just all around an absolutely awful human being. Found out today that Ulta finally fired her. If anyone in this sub ever had to work for her, I’m sure your experience is the same, but thank god she’s finally gone. I doubt this is allowed but I had to get it off my chest.
So i just was accepted at my current store as MM and a past store asked me to come back as OM. My GM says I can't because there's supposed to be a 90 day period. Is that a thing?
Have your managers check the wk 23 take ownership calendar! theres a bunch of extra brand discounts added to stack with the 35% off!
Pros or cons? Pay? I'm in the Midwest the position is open and want to know good the bad & the ugly🤦🏽♀️ I'm lead tasker currently I know MM is probably the worst paying job but I'd love the full time
Is anyone else’s location being super forceful to use the MPOS? When I first started working here over a year ago I never had to worry about using the MPOS but lately they demand it of us. I hate it so much. I know it’s just a small thing but to hear about how we have to use it and aren’t using it enough EVERYDAY is getting to me, it’s always something else that is expected of us and to be perfect at and it’s just becoming too much on my plate.
How does this sale work with the employee appreciation discount? I know our discount goes to 35% and then we get an additional 25% off. Does this stack on top?
I quit yesterday. Today was my last day. My GM took me off the rest of the schedule bc I had to quit bc I was paying more in gas money to get there than I was earning working. I really loved working there. I was a tasker so I pretty much got to work on my own, but didn’t mind when we worked in groups.
I’ll miss you, Ulta.
Hi all,
So my GM never gives us our gratis in a timely manner. By the time we actually get gratis from one quarter, the next box has arrived. And has been sitting for weeks. Is this something that's reportable? I mean the way I see it, this is part of our compensation. This is getting increasingly frustrating especially with how terrible hours have been. It's a good morale booster for the whole team. And whether there's not a lot going on in the store or there is. My GM just always says she never has time to get to it.
