major scale finger question

In Lesson 8 in Absolutely Understanding Guitar, they show a diagram of the chord chart box thing and talk about finger sliding. I wish I could post a picture so that I could show the diagram and it would make my question clearer, but images are not allowed and I don't think links to Youtube are either... but my question is that if you start at the top of the fret board, would the finger slide just be an open chord? At about 18:45 in the video it shows a note at 7 and an arrow down to slide to the next note, a half step at the end of do-re-mi... if I was playing at the top of of the guitar neck would that 7 just be an open G string?

How do I make sense of these chord charts with multiple diagrams?

I know what the strings and frets and numbers mean, but, there are 16 diagrams, how do I know which one to use?

In this case, I guess that it is the 2nd over and 2nd down just because of a video on Fendor website, but how would I know that and why are there so many?

I am very confused

[Hobby] Building a Blobber RPG looking for some art

I am working on a hobby and learning project in Godot. It is a blobber RPG. I have wanted to make one since I was a kid and enjoyed playing the Might and Magic games.

I do already have a full time job, so this is just an afterwork and weekend project.

I have an idea to keep the art pretty basic.

Last night I made this witch that is kind of a blue eyeball with a witch hat and a pale blue flame that pulses a little like a heart. I have an idea of basically re-skinning this basic idea for multiple humanoid enemies (goblins, thieves, demon, wizard, succubus, etc...) simple, readable, cartoonish, kinda cute. Think something like a Poliwhirl but more eyeball.

My own art isn't very good so it isn't living to its potential, especially not the animation. It currently kind of "blinks" while the blue flame beats like a heart, but it isn't very convincing and the eye lid is horrible. The witch boots are also lacking and the hat is... lumpy.

I don't think that I can pull off daggers for the thief version and the succubus version is definitely out of my reach.

It would be great to have them with a stylistic flare and bit of whimsy.

This is a hobby and passion project. I don't expect to make any money from it. More for experience and learning.

Thank you for reading, have a great day.

[Hobby] blobber dungeon crawl RPG looking for artist

I am making a blobber / dungeon crawl inspired by the Might and Magic series

This is a hobby, passion, and learning project in Godot 4 and learning Blender. I have a full time job that does not involve development of any kind, so I do this after work and on weekends, and fairly slowly.

In my head it would look something like the Beavis and Butthead Do America Desert hallucination scene with White Zombie, where they are in a music video and there are strange demon like creatures.

Plot-wise, you were the front-man of a Power Metal band until an onstage accident landed you in a coma. You now find yourself and your band members in a fantasy realm like the ones in your songs--one being corrupted by the encroaching influence of Doom Black metal. Can you restore harmony to the land?
