Spider lampshade for a larger floor lamp conversion
Hi all! I have a question about a lamp shade I bought and a floor lamp I'm going to purchase (pictures included). I bought this vintage lampshade frame that I am planning on decorating (PIC 1). It appears to have a spider size ring at the top and should probably be used for a table lamp (PIC 2). However, I want to use it on an arched floor lamp so it hangs down like a pendant. I haven't bought the floor lamp yet, but (PIC 3) is an example of what I want. I understand that the majority of these size lamps have much larger rings - uno size. My question is, if I buy an uno size frame ring (PIC 4) and attach it to the top of my lamp shade, will that work? Or should I just buy a different shade and use this on for a table lamp? Thanks!
