Solid wood lamp

I found this lamp at a thrift store today for $7.99. Google lens tells me it’s worth something. I don’t know if it’s teak or walnut. I would like to know what I can do to treat the wood. I am in Denver where it’s very dry. Also, do you have any ideas about value? The wiring is very old. Should I replace it?

Found for $10… worth it?

I found this at my local goodwill (which so happens to be next door to my work, yay!) and I bought it for $10. Is it worth it, or should I have left her? I’m new to the lamp world, but I got a beautiful gone with the wind lamp from a regular customer, and I’ve been on an adventure ever since!

Does anyone know what this type of lamp is called?

I’m in the process of “fixing” it up and would like to get new lamp shades/a shade for it, but going off of measurements alone has been unsuccessful to say the least. Google also hasn’t been much help either 😅 it suggested a few things but all the results that turn up look nothing like this. I’m also aware that it might not really have a distinct name but I’m not an expert so I figured I’d ask anyway. Thoughts anyone?

Did I mess up leaving it behind?

I saw this lamp be carried out to behind the counter at the thrift store today and wanted it immediately. But it’s a hundred dollars. My friend looked the photo and said “dude is that a Tiffany?” Now I’m regretting maybe not splurging. Thought I’d see what the lamp community thinks if I messed up not grabbing it lol.

Help Finding Lamp

Can anyone help me figure out what lamp this is? I found one at a vintage store and would like to find a matching one. I’ve been able to find a picture of one but not the name of the lamp or where to get another one.

Daphne Lamp by E. Thomasson

A while back, I purchased this lamp from an antique expo. The moment I saw it, I fell in love with it. I have never seen anything like it. The base of the lamp has a name stamped into the metal : E. Thomasson. I'm honestly not sure if this is an original casting or a later reproduction, but it is gorgeous nonetheless.

I have done some preliminary research and found that Emil Thomasson was known for his intricately designed sculptural pieces and bronze figural lamps. The Daphne lamp, pictured here, is one of his most well known pieces. The lamp is an art piece telling the story of the water nymph Daphne, who transformed into a laurel tree.

Just picked up this new (old ) lamp

Stoked on this find. Curious if anyone knows anything about it- base looks original- the shade although is questionable? Not sure. The base is signed JC or maybe TC something- hoping someone recognizes the makers mark. Looks similar to a lamp by “Charles Ranc”- guessing different casting houses/manufactures did spin offs of his designs. Love knowing the history of the pieces I collect so if anyone has any expertise I’d be delighted to hear! Cheers

Real Tiffany lamp?

Can anyone tell if this is a real Tiffany lamp? It’s very heavy, i read that not all Tiffany lamps don’t have stamps but there is a 13 carved into the base under it.

Multicolor lamp

Do you think this lamp works well for my dining area, or should I go in a different direction.

I serve in Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps, and part of my role is creating ceramic pieces for fundraising. This ceramic lion lamp is from a series I made specifically for the corps. It’s called Lembyk Lev — a piece that mixes a folkloric Ukrainian character with the militarized reality we live in now. The whole series was created for the 3rd Army Corps, and all profit from it goes directly to support the corps’ needs.

What was this lamp decoration?

Saw this lamp at a local thrift store right after my wife asked if they had any interesting lamps. I’m sure some decal is missing or something- any ideas?
