Starting Simponi Aria - help!
Hi,
Some info first - I have severe pain in my left feet (hurt to put it down) for years and after many shoe, taping. PT etc I got tested by a RA Dr and I have all the markers of PA and high SED rate etc,. I don't have any visible signs of psoriasis on my body. I also started noticing more symptoms like swollen fingers, joints etc. I started with take Celebrex twice a day for 3 months and my pain went down a lot but not totally. Then I started Methrotrexate and after 2 months or so I see no difference. In fact i feel lethargic and moody. Now my dr has recommended Simponi Aria.
I have my first infusion booked (WOW ..it is expensive!) and the 2nd one 4 weeks post that one.
Am I jumping into this too quickly? What should I expect? How long does it take for the inflamation to go down? I am nervous
