Debating

I was booked in for jaw surgery in march, I cancelled on the day of my surgery due to doubts. I am booked in for ujs only.

I wanted the surgery when I was 16 I am now 22 it’s been a long process, my only reason for surgery originally was aesthetic reasons but I’ve changed my mindset & id need strong quality of living benefits ie breathing & sleeping better then just the aesthetic benefit.

The surgery is funded via my local hospital, how big of difference do you think the surgery would make aesthetically & functionally for just ujs & is it worth while doing?

Jaw surgery

I’ve had braces and been in the process of jaw surgery for around 2/3 years now.

Back in march I flew to uk to get my operation and I cancelled on the day of my op mainly due to fear about anaesthetic.

Originally I was meant to get double jaw surgery but my orthodontist said we can get away with just upper jaw surgery. He made this decision around a year pre op.

I am wondering if it would be beneficial to still go ahead , it’s free to do.

I am currently 50/50 whether to stick with how my jaw is currently or go ahead with the upper jaw surgery to bring the upper jaw forward.
