Hi!
I’m thinking about switching from Ubuntu to Arch. I’ve been using Ubuntu for about six months and really enjoy Linux after five years on Windows. Now that I’m comfortable with linux, I’m only using it and Mac.
I want to try Arch and would like the opinions of people who have used it and other distributions. How different or difficult is it to get used to after Ubuntu? I haven’t tested my apps on it yet, but I have managed to reach the desktop.
I mainly use my PC for:
- Gaming: Steam
- Coding: VS Code and nvim
- Work: 3D printing (slicers and CAD programs)
The main thing I want to know is if there is anything significantly different coming from Ubuntu, or if any of the tasks listed above will be particularly hard to set up or manage on Arch. or anything that can help me... THX<3
